GOT QUESTIONS?
Nylon tips produce a brighter, crisper cymbal tone and last longer than wood tips. The hickory body is identical — it's purely a difference in tone and tip durability. For live settings or loud stages, nylon cuts through better.
Same hickory body, same weight, same balance — the only difference is the tip. The nylon version gives you a brighter cymbal attack and longer tip life. If you play live or in loud settings, go nylon. For studio or warm acoustic tones, go wood.
Yes — nylon tips are preferred for electronic kits. They're gentler on mesh heads and rubber pads, and they trigger sensors more consistently than wood tips.
Woodies nylon tips are securely bonded to the shaft. Under normal playing conditions they stay put. Like any stick, heavy rim abuse will wear them down over time — but they're built to last.

Excellent drumsticks , consistent well balanced and very very durable . Once you use them and put them up against the competition you can clearly see the difference. I’m sold for life and the company is only going to have more stock and variety as they grow . I hope they never change for what they’ve achieved already!
Woodies Drumstick personally I feel like easily compete with some of the top biggest brands on this planet for many reasons. Each state is carefully weighed out for a perfect balance in each hand. The attention to detail for comfortability. Extremely easy on the wrists the sticks do more of the work. Which is really amazing for drummers highly active. I could go on forever definitely gonna be using these for a really long time.

The difference in stick weight between my last order and this order is significant. I reached out to customer service and never received a response. An 8gm difference between each stick from last order to this order is an unacceptable difference. I like Woodies sticks but if the quality is going to fluctuate this much I can no longer support the brand.
I play more aggressively, resulting in sticks cracking, and heads snapping. Now that I've figured out exactly which stick is best for me...there's no doubt. Woodies is my go-to.
Sticks are great and the extra length helps moving around the kit. Super durable running on 3 shows with a single pair so far. Also big fan of the grip tape, never tried tape before and it’s a game changer.
I play drums and Han & The Wookiees and Subeesu. I’ve been looking for something different. I usually go straight to Vic for 5B and I found these sticks to be great. Woody is my new brand for drumsticks.
Phenomenal
The best drumsticks I’ve ever played
I was featured on TV today and I used your sticks
I have also included your website on my www.thunder-foot.com website so people can click and make purchases
I will be endorsing these drumsticks exclusively for now on
Thank you for your wonderful professionalism and being so awesome
I've only been at it for less than four months, but have already gravitated to 2B sticks because they feel much better in my hands. I just got these 2B Nylons from Woodies today and I've only played three songs, but I think I've already found my stick. I love the weight and the finish on these sticks over any of the 3 or 4 brands I've tried.
I like the Woodies 5b sticks my pad workouts. The length and short taper provide a really nice balance and feel. They are really comfortable to play. The round tip also provides a great response. I feel these are the best American hickory drumsticks at a great price.
I recommend Woodies drumsticks to all my students and they all love them.
Sticks feel lighter than Promark, impact feel is great, and the added length is very choice. I would like a bit more durability. They’re hickory so it’s kind of expected. All that being said, I spoke with Woodies on FB messenger and asked about oak sticks. They replied quickly and said that’s a possibility next year so…. Overall a surprisingly good product from a new comer.
Using the nylon tipped 5B Long on my electronic drums to keep the mesh heads cleaner. I don’t plan on using them on my acoustic kit so I have no comment regarding sound and response on cymbals. Sticks have nice finish with good grip. I don’t drop them as much. Nicely weighted and pairs are well-matched for solid feel, power, and rebound response even on mesh heads. Will need to post separate review on 5B Long barrel tip on sn acoustic kit.
I’m super happy with these sticks. It wasn’t as much about the price but the durability is outstanding. Bought two pairs to start and after doing 5 shows without a broken stick and very little wood shedding, I ordered a brick. Thanks for this great new option After 50 years of mediocre sticks.
I bought a pair of 5B longs for my drummer to try. It's like a 70 mile drive from where we are to a Guitar Center and no one in town sells good sticks. His pair of Woodies are still rocking two weeks later. I think he might be sold.
Update: He's absolutely sold
The 5B nylon tips are perfectly weighted and sound great on the drums and cymbals. I especially like using them on the mesh heads for my electronic kit for the sake of your ability and longevity of the mesh heads, but I use them on my acoustic drums as well. Woodies is definitely my favorite brand of drumstick.
I'm disappointed in the weight of the sticks. Last order the same sticks weighed 55g each. This order they are 63g. That is a significant difference. I contacted the company but didn't hear back from them on why such a disparity.
I wasn't sure about the nylon tips at first, having used the leading competitor in nylon tips for years but as soon as I heard them on my cymbals, I was sold. The crisp, bright sound of my cymbals is amazing. Its like having a whole new set of cymbals! I'll have to get used to the weightier feel of a 5B (I've always used 5A or 7A) but I'm looking forward to using them and maybe trying out others in their lineup.
The feel of the stix is exactly what I want. Next time I will try the 5A nylon tips as well. You have a customer for a while now. Thank you for keeping the price down and the quality strong.
Great quality sticks. They feel great in my hands with perfect length and weight. I’d bet they are going to last longer than my other brand sticks. Customer service was outstanding! I’ll be buying more in the future. Keep up the great work guys!
