Yes — nylon tips are preferred for electronic kits. They're gentler on mesh heads and rubber pads, and trigger sensors more consistently than wood tips.
Woodies nylon tips are securely bonded to the shaft. Under normal playing conditions they stay put. Heavy rim abuse will eventually wear them down — but they're built to last through hard sessions.
