I really like the solid feel of the stick also they are very well balanced!. I do have to get used to the liber length though.

I am always cautiously skeptical about claims of a more durable drumstick. I ordered 3 pairs of Woodies 7A Long Nylon Tips. I'm not exactly a basher-type player, but I play pretty loud, and with LOTS of rimshots. I have played 3 shows with my band SOLAR, and several rehearsals on the first pair, with no sign of any splintering yet!! I don't know what Woodies' secret sauce is, but they really do hold up! I would have splintered/shredded/snapped several pairs of my previous brand at this point. Woodies, keep doing what you're doing, and I will keep using your great sticks.

I love these Woodies 7A Nylon Tip drumsticks! They are weightier than other 7As I've tried, making them a great alternative when you're looking for a stick whose heft rests somewhere between a 7A and a 5A. Plus the nylon tips are larger than most, giving them a fantastic feel on ride cymbals and hi-hats. These are highly recommended, so purchase a pair and give them a try!

This is my second review. I bought two different pairs of sticks. I messed up on the other one.My other review, I wrote 5a they were 7A my bad regardless both pairs absolutely amazing
I was a little worried that the sticks would not work for me, but after using them they were the perfect fit.. I love the extra length and the texture of them. The weight is also perfect, I’ve used them on 2 shows now and they show no wear. I’ve been a 7a guy and have used several different brands over my 50 years of playing and these are the best sticks I’ve ever used!!
Got one pair of 7As to give it a chance and try them out, I hit hard so good quality sticks are a must for me. Phenomenal! Im ordering a pack. I was waiting for this gig to really test them out, at some point during the show I was concerned (out of being used to crack them lol) I checked and they were like “is this all you have bro?” Jk but hey Woodies are good!
Both the Woodies 7A nylon and wood tip drumsticks are really nice for more intimate gigs where volume may need to be a little softer. The length provides some extra reach and short taper provides a really nice balance and feel. The nylon tip gives you a nice bright sound on the cymbals and the round wood tip also provides a great sound and response on cymbals as well. I feel these are great American hickory drumsticks at a great price.
Great sticks
I am still getting used to them. The length and weight are much different from what I'm used to in a 7AN. But i am digging them. I have had them for three gigs, and I really like the length; it lets me lay back a bit and still make my reaches. Give 'em a try; you will like them.

I already reviewed these sticks and thought that they are great. Very sturdy and easy to handle.
So far so good. I have liked using Vic Firth Extreme 7A and the Questlove sticks because of the length. The Woodies are a little heavier and I wouldn't mind having a lighter option for jazz. I have another pair of Woodies without the nylon tips and I like those too.

The sticks are a little too long for me. Also; I’m used to the 7A size to be a little narrower and lighter.

they are quite different than what i was using. they are light , i choke up for balance, they didnt get all chipped up ,i like the tips . as i play with these sticks, i will let you know further, as for now , im happy with the response ,thank you ,gary deren

The 7A sticks I bought are heavy and feel more like 5A. I like a smaller stick. It seems to me that 7A has no precise size or weight anymore. Regal Tip sticks were always precise. I need something like their sticks, so I keep looking and spending money on things I can’t use. Thanks anyway. Paula
As a relatively shorter guy with a shorter reach, the 7A long Woodies drumsticks are just perfect for my playing style. And I've always been a big fan of nylon tip sticks, there's just something special about how they can make a ride cymbal sound. These sticks are definitely worth it!
When I buy drumsticks, I usually buy in pairs of three, assuming at least one will feel good to me. The same can be said about these Woodies. Two of the three pairs felt a bit light and hollow, providing insufficient bounce on my Zildjian L-80 cymbals. The third pair was perfect, a bit heavier and a more solid fell to it. It was perfect for the drums and cymbals.
Really enjoy them. Finish is a little slippery but still enjoyable

Love the drum sticks from Woodies!! I highly reccomend them to anyone looking for stronger drum sticks that last longer on the kit! Nothing better than strong Woodies drum sticks!
They are much bigger than a 7A stick. I was looking for a longer 7A as I play Jazz and these things are like a longer 5B. Very disappointing.
Thought they were the same size as the 5A's all the 7As I've ever used are alot thinner they don't feel like 7As they feel the same as 5A'S don't feel like I'm getting 7A performance you really need to make these really thinner .
They weren’t balanced and they felt hollow. Contact with the drums wasn’t solid or straight forward…
